Carina is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience spanning critical care, neurology, pediatrics, and outpatient surgery. She earned her DNP from Baylor University in 2024 and BSN from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2013. For the past three years, she
has worked as a Pre-Operative and Recovery Nurse at True You Weight Loss, providing surgical support and post-operative care.
Her nursing clinical training includes critical care, urgent care, primary care, concierge medicine, and psychiatry, serving patients of all ages. Carina began her career volunteering with underserved populations in Charlotte, NC, and has led quality improvement and patient
education initiatives in critical care, and pediatric anxiety screening. She is passionate about culturally competent, patient-centered care and plans to lead community-based health education efforts as an FNP. In her free time, Carina enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to live music and hiking.
