Stephanie Ortiz, NBC-HWC is a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. After watching close family members lose their battles to weight-related illnesses, Stephanie knew that it was important to learn how to make healthy food without compromising taste. She graduated from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, New Jersey, and went on to complete her bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics from Montclair State University.
Through her own experiences and challenges with weight loss, Stephanie realized how important building a strong support system is and sought out becoming an accredited Health and Wellness Coach through the National Board of Medical Examiners. As a health coach, Stephanie is excited to help her patients recognize what their ultimate vision is, when it comes to their health and wellness, and work together as a collective team, alongside the other medical professionals at True You Weight Loss to help patients maximize their potential for success!
Stephanie is currently developing an accredited coaching program with an enhanced curriculum designed for inclusivity, regardless of race, gender identification, disability status, and sexual orientation. Stephanie’s coaching approach is to accept everyone as they are, and she prides herself in connecting to her clients from an unbiased, nonjudgmental mindset.
In her spare time, Stephanie serves as a parent advocate for children with special needs, volunteers as a guest chef at the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia, enjoys spin class, and sitting by the beach, year round—even during Jersey winters.
