Kathleen’s nutrition career began at Appalachian State University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She continued her formal education at Meredith College where she earned a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a concentration in Research. She then continued her education at Meredith College to complete her dietetic internship where she gained hands-on experience through rotations in a variety of nutrition-related settings. Kathleen is also certified in Motivational Interviewing, a goal directed counseling style designed to help individuals resolve internal ambivalence and harness the motivation to create positive behavior change. This evidence-based method improves treatment outcomes by supporting patients on their journey while strengthening their motivations and well-being. Through education, volunteering, internships and more, Kathleen has 10 years of experience in the world of nutrition.
Kathleen’s passion for nutrition stems from the idea that food is a great resource for health, weight loss, and overall wellness. Kathleen has a passion for helping people live their best and healthiest lives through food.
Kathleen currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys being active, enjoying time outdoors, traveling, cooking, and trying new foods!
